1.5 from the Russian Judge......

Well, I didn't make it. Had to rip back the majority of the second sock due to a chair-needle error (there was something wrong between the chair and the needles: me.) I left out an entire pattern, so had to fix it. Congratulations to all of the other knitters who actually finished on time.

Haven't taken photos of anything recently, as I've been playing chauffer to my husband for the past 2 weeks. His car is pretty much DOA, so it took him this long to find a new one. Meanwhile, I've been wracking up the miles on my little POS.

More later, gotta fix dinner for the men.

A Finished Object, and my Olympic Yarn

These are the jester booties from Zoe Mellor's Double Knits for Kids. They are so easy, and (IMHO) really cute. She says to put a pom-pom on the tip, but I put bells on them. Make it a bit more interesting for the kid.

I'll be giving these to my boss's daughter, who just had her 3rd son on Saturday.

And, here is my Olympic yarn for the Mamluke socks. It's the Takhi Cotton Classic. It's been 'aging' in my stash for just the right moment. OK, so I'm lying. I'm so broke right now I can't buy anything new. DH's van is terminal, so I've been driving him back and forth to work, about a 15 mile round trip ever time. Plus taking DS to daycare, and then getting me to work. I'm beat.

I'm pretty excited to start the socks, especially since DH will be gone this weekend, and won't know how much time I actually spend knitting. Mwhahahahahaha!!!!!!! I just hope that I am actually able to get these done in 16 days. Wish me luck, ya'll.
