NEWSFLASH: ACTUAL KNITTING CONTENT
Woo Hoo, I have actually started my Sockapalooza socks. Of course, this makes project number 6 that I have started recently. I must have knitting ADD.
My foray into dying with food coloring was fun, and just too simple for words, though, my kitchen smelled like vinegar for a while. I started by dying the whole kit and kaboodle yellow, and when that dye bath exhausted, I added some blue splotches. So, it's mostly yellow, with some subtle green places.
I am now using this yarn for my socks. I'm doing the Latvian socks from "Folk Socks." Yes, I know, I did those with some Lorna's Laces for me earlier this year, but I really like the pattern. The hardest part is knitting that (*^* picot edge together. About went nuts doing that. And, I'm doing something that I don't do very often: I'm knitting on 0's. Damn, they're small. But, the yarn is working fine, the stitches look good. The colors aren't pooling horrendously, and I think I actually dyed enough to do something for myself. Note to self: When using your warping board to skein off yarn, skip some of the pegs. Your arms are not that long.
I'll try to get some photos taken this weekend. I'm really bad about taking photos, even though we have two digital cameras. Leigh graduates on Sunday, so you can bet at least one of us will have a camera.

Yeah, Amy, but I think that some of my projects may be older than you.
