I must be mental.

In the past 3 days, I've ripped out two WIPs. The Gunnister sock, and the body of the Eris (no, I did not rip out the collar, I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid).

My husband does not understand that my knitting is my meditation, my sancutary. I need to be able to knit in order to function in the everyday world of work, family, and what-have-you. When I'm stressed, I get hyper-critical of my work, and tend to start ripping. Luckily my Elenora stocking is in hiding, or it might be next.

SP7 is coming to an end, and I had hoped that I would be able to get another box out to my pal. I don't think she needs any more stitch markers, as I sent her about 10 that I had made. I even gave her a bit of my angora stash. I still may try and send her something even after SP7 "officially" ends Friday.

DS is going to spend a couple of days with my mom, so I need to get going. This ought to be interesting. He's never stayed with her, and she's not used to a 5 year old. I see a battle of the wills on the horizon.

Migraine Monday x2 and news from here.

Ah, yes, another glorious morning to wake up with a migraine. I say times 2, because Sean also was not feeling well this morning, so DH let both of us sleep. Sean slept till about 8:30, and he in turn let me sleep till 11:00. Though, he's been a bit of a PITA this afternoon.

News from here:
I've started knitting a baby sweater to match the Jester booties, using a Harlot pattern she posted to Knitty. I'm making a couple of changes, but it's the sizing that I need. I'm so used to knitting things for me, that to knit for a baby is kind of hard. All of my other projects are hanging around in various states of unfinish. I did get the skein of Silkwood (from my SP)balled up in anticipation of a project. I'm just not sure what to do with it. Suggestions?

My bestest bud in the whole world called me last night to tell me she is taking a sweater knitting class. I am so proud of her. She said she had the back done to the armhole decreases, and she did that in a week. I'm impressed to say the least, as she works full time, has 2 kids, is a Brownie leader, is active in her church, and had the flu over the weekend. I'm lucky if I can finish a sock in a week (The Olympics don't count. That was a moral imperative).

I hope everyone is going over to Franklin's blog and reading up on the adventures of Dolores. I swear, if I don't have to clean off my monitor at least twice while reading one of those posts, I'm doing really well.

Three weeks till Fleece Fair! April 7th and 8th at the Putnum Co. (IN) 4-H Fairgrounds. Yarn, fiber, sheep, rabbits, tools, and lots of stuff. I'll be there on the 8th, probably not buying much, but sitting under a tree with my knitting. Come say 'Hi' and sit and knit for a spell.

Mamluke socks

DH found the memory card, so here they are. The second one took me for-ev-ar and I don't know why. I actually finished them the weekend after the end of the Olympics, but I finished them.

Onward to Summer!

Just a quickie....

I got my goodie box, I got my goodie box.....Wheeeee!!!!!

I'd take photos if SOMEONE (dh) hadn't lost the memory card for the digital camera.

Contents:
100 grams of yummy yarn, hand-dyed, from London no less.
1 bottle of Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar body lotion (mmmmmm.....)
1 Godiva gift bag (Step away from the bag, and nobody gets hurt)
1 Modern book of Lace Knitting (which I already have, along with book 2, but no worries, it will find a good home)
and a package of CafePress note cards that say "Eat, Sleep, Knit."

Now to figure out what to do with the yarn. The chocolate is a no-brainer.

THANK YOU SECRET PAL!!!!!!!!
